Hello,
I have to go back to home country for which i rather not avoid:
My visa history is that
I am holding tier 2(G) visa for last 5 years, my employment ended early this year, and i found another job with start date in early coming july.
I got my BRP for new job and my RtW is active for both my past and new employer.
My question is :
1.can i go home before I join?
2.can i return anytime before joining date?
3.if the visa immigration officer at airport asks me which job should i tell as I can see RtW for both are live?
4.Will this be any reason to worry for my ILR due in august this year?
I would really appreciate your wise inputs in earnest.
Regards
A

My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.

I found posts on similar situations so would like to update on my experience
I went ahead to my home country and had on return at immigration the officer asking me what I do.
When told that i am joining a new job, he asked me what i did before to which i told him my previous job in uk. He quipped that i could use the previous brp to return, i replied no, since the one i showed him was for the new job. He let me in after that. Dont know if he swipped my brp on his system.

Hi!
Thank you so much for the update. can I ask what exactly the officer said about the old BRP? I need to travel very soon but still waiting for my new BRP... if we can travel with the old BRP while waiting, it would be so helpful!

I am not a legal advisor on immigration and below are my thoughts..
My feeling is that the Immigration office wanted to test me wheter i have returned by old brp or not.. there was some post somewhere of hassle he/she got when his/her old brp wasnt sent to the HO after the new one came but was with him/her while returning back...
When you get a positive decision, the letter from HO says Not to make any travel plans till you get the BRP.
I do not understand how can you travel with your old brp...
