Tier 2 PBS Dependent Visa Extension IHS Fee

Post by khannasupriya » Sat Jun 08, 2019 10:41 am

Hi, I am applying for Tier 2 PBS dependent up to 3 years. My husband already has an ILR which is dated till 2024. When I go to the payment summary after filling the IHS form, the surcharge is coming to £2,200 with description as 'Immigration Health Surcharge Payment'. Does this include the visa fee because I should ideally be paying £1200 as IHS fee. In the part where I have to fill the main visa holder's details, I've selected Tier 2 visa route as there is no option of ILR in the drop down but the amount remains the same. Why would I be charged so much. Has anyone had a similar experience? Much appreciate any help!

Put his ILR expiry date as 3 years from now, ie 2022, to get the correct Ihs fee if £1200.

Thank you so much. His visa expiry date is 31/12/2024. I changed it to 31/12/2022 and the fee has come down to £1400. Should I change it to the day my visa would potentially expire. Right now I have BRP till 5/7/2019. Should i calculate 3 years from this date for him and state 5/7/2022 as the expiry date or stick to 31/12/2022?

Change to a date that is exactly 3 years ahead in 2022 from the date you are applying.
