Hello,
In February i was redeployed to a new role/project with the same employer. The soc remained the same so I didn't need to apply for a new visa. However, there was a gap between the previous role and the new one as we had to wait for funding to come in for the new project. The gap was about 2 weeks but I still received my normal monthly salary for February. Basically that was because I remained on the same contract before switching roles (until now). HR have only recently acknowledged that I should have been given a new contract when I switched to the new project so I'm not sure what to make of that.
Now I have received another offer with the same employer but this time the soc code is different and I will have to apply for a new visa. My question here is basically, could this gap that I had between projects in February affect my application for the new visa? Is this normal?
Thank you
