T2 change of employer, when is previous BRP deactivated?

Post by gladr0yal » Thu Jun 13, 2019 10:01 am

For change of employer, is the old BRP deactivated upon approval?

To be specific, I am thinking of this online right to check: https://www.gov.uk/view-right-to-work.

Looking at forums, for ILR applicants, old BRP check shows some form invalidity. Will the same happen for Tier 2 extensions/changes?

1. It is NOT necessary to start a new topic with each question you have on the same application!!

So after case worker's approval letter (and before BRP printing), the current employer will see the old BRP is invalid? If/when they perform the check?

Apologies for being pedantic. I wish to understand how much info is available to employers. Re double post: didn't realise, sorry -- wrongly thought probably easier for people to search titles and/or with Google. I know the information is out there but I couldn't find it even after extensive search.

Your current employer is not informed at any time that you have applied for a change of employer visa or been granted a visa.

Why would your current employer being a right to work check anyway??

To answer your question: correct, they're not doing anything specific for me. I believe they have an inhouse exercise this/next week. Did not want them to know this early but SOL.
