Tier 2 Visa extension _ Applied for extention exceeding 5 years in error

Please can anyone advise:

I have recently applied for Tier 2 Visa extention

I have stayed 4 years initially on tier 2 since 2015.
I had reasons to change employment and new sponsor who issued Cos of three years.

I had applied for extention of tier 2 with 3 years according to the Cos without realising or picking this up.

I applied using super premium service a week ago with no response yet.

This delayed triggered lots of online research during which I have now picked up that tier 2 extention can only be done for upto 5 years.

I am unsure what actions to take as my application is at most under processing .

I could seriously use some advise here please

You can hold tier 2 for up to 6 years not 5.

Nothing you need to do. HO will only issue a visa if approved up to a 6 years in total max allowed.
