Dependant Visa Status While Main Applicant Switches to ILR

Post by priasda85 » Mon Jul 22, 2019 3:36 pm

Hi,
We just renewed our Tier 2 General VISA last month and the new VISA is now valid until Jun 2020. However I'll be eligible to apply for ILR next month but my Wife won't be eligible(as she has completed only 4.4 years in UK)
My question is when I get ILR what happens to my Wife's VISA? Is her current VISA still going to be valid until next year and whether she can apply for ILR when she completes 5 years in UK

Nothing, provided you apply for ILR based on Tier 2 and not 10 years long residence.

Yes and yes, provided she meets the requirements, including absence.
