Dependant visa for a new born in UK

Post by jaina12 » Tue Jul 30, 2019 2:38 pm

Hello all,

My wife and I came to the UK on Tier 2 general visa in November 2014. Our visas expire on 30th November 2019. We intent to apply for ILR in October. We have a son who was born here in the UK in October 2018. We got the Indian passport for him but haven't applied for the UK dependant visa as we are not planning to travel outside the UK before ILR.
Could anyone please confirm if a dependant visa is required for my son during the ILR application process.

Thanks!

Your son doesn't need ILR if you plan on registering the child as British once you get ILR.
