Stamp 2 fiancé

Post by Ger1982 » Wed Jul 31, 2019 9:32 am

Hi
Looking for some information
My Brazilian fiancé is living with me in Ireland for past 8 months we are after getting registration to get married should have it in next couple months we been using 90 day visa flying out on short holidays to come back to Ireland

Reading over some on information on inis website and doing some research im getting conflicting information

My question is could we get stamp 2 visa while we are waiting to get married we don't want to have to rush in getting married to stay and its expensive having to flying in and out every 3 months also worried some immigration officer might be having a bad day and refuse us entry
Tia

If he wants to be a full time student, and he can find a third level institution, then yes.

You must get married first. The other route is through de-facto relationship but you have to provide evidence that you are living together for more than 2 years, and it takes much longer time to process the visa.
