Dependent Visa - Maintenance requirement

Post by abdul_sky » Sun Aug 04, 2019 5:57 pm

Hi,

I am currently about to submit my family (wife and child) tier 2 dependent visa application and I got an official letter from the bank that says this :
We hereby certify that "My full name", account number XXXXXXX has a current account with us.

The minimum amount in this account during the last 90 consecutive days is [The lowest amount of money in the account over the last 90 days]

This money is available to the account holder and the account holder can withdraw this money any time.
I've read this https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... 3-2019.pdf

Under Evidence for applications made as the dependant of a person with leave under Tier 1, 2 or 5 or Appendix W.
iii) Letter from bank confirming funds and that they have been in the bank for at least 90 days. The
letter from a bank or building society should show:
• the name of the main applicant and/or your name, or (for children only) the name of your other parent;
• the account number;
• the date of the letter;
• the funds held in the account; and
• that the funds have been in the bank for at least 90 days and the balance has not fallen below
£630 or £1890, as in the examples above, at any time during the 90 day period.
Letters that simply state the balance in the account on a particular day or an average balance over
the 90 day period are not sufficient.
I am not sure if this letter alone is acceptable or bank statement must be submitted. I am doing this because my statements cycle gets issued in the middle of the month. In the branch, they told me the original letter comes from the head-office so they can't print a similar format.

What do you think? Did anyone try this option before for tier 2 dependent?

You need bank statements.
