Contact Home Office for curtailment letter

Post by Alfonsooo » Tue Aug 27, 2019 9:25 am

Hi all, has anyone experienced or could anyone advise on contacting Home Office for the update of curtailment letter?

I was on tier 2 visa until mid July when my employment contract was terminated. My employer that time told me that they gonna contact HO straight away regarding my immigration status, and I know that HO will send me a curtailment letter cutting me leave to 60 days.

Since I haven't received any letter from HO yet, I'm a bit worried if they have my correct address and if I have missed their letter somehow.

I called them, but they say the only way to inquire is to write IN PAPER LETTER to them in Sheffield.

I'm wondering if anyone in the forum has experienced this or knows how to contact HO about this either by phone or by email?

Many many thanks!

Curtailment letters can take a few months to get sent out. It isn't an instant process.

Presumably you have not changed address since coming to the UK and your employer had the correct details??

No I haven't-- thanks for sharing the doc though. I understand that it may take months, but having this uncertainty is just very annoying. I think I will wait a bit and maybe send them a tracked mail.

Thx!
