Wrong computation of income but still meets requirements

Post by testes1234 » Wed Aug 28, 2019 9:44 am

I recently applied for a Fiance Visa and did my biometrics 1 week ago. I just noticed that we made a mistake in computing for and stating my fiance's income on our letter and application form (it should have been GBP19,100 instead of GBP19,900 like we said).

Would it cause an issue? Hopefully not since 19,100 is still more than the 18,600 requirement, right? I should add that we also have included all 6months payslips, bank statements, employee letter (which also had the wrong total amount)

Hello

How someone can get his income figure wrong in such critical application is beyond me.

They are probably going to see a disparity between the letter / payslips and what you put in the form. They will probably investigate to see if the job and revenue claimed are genuine. If they are satisfied that you really work and have 19'100 / year, it will be probably a PASS. But no one can tell for sure. It's really up to them.

In other hand, if when they investigate further disparities about the job appear, that can be a serious blow to your application.

You're right. I don't normally make mistakes but it's ironic that one of the few paperwork errors I make is on something so significant  There's really nothing to do now but wait. If this topic continues to be unlocked by the time I get the result, then I can keep it updated.

Thanks for the response.
