Tier 4 student can bring/apply dependent visa when only 6 months study/visa left in UK?

Hi all,
Cousin studying in the UK on a tier 4 student visa. He is getting married next year. After his marriage, he wants to bring his dependent to the UK. But by that time, his study visa will be only 6 months left. Can he apply for a tier 4 dependent visa and bring it here? Will, there any visa rejection happens?

It depends. Only postgraduate students or those funded by the government can bring dependants.

Note that it is the dependant who applies for the visa, not the student.
