ILR for Tier 2 main and dependents

Post by Pavanj73 » Mon Sep 23, 2019 2:00 pm

Dear All,
My and my family Tier 2 General Visa is going to expire on 29-Oct-19,
I am planning to apply ILR using super priority service for me and planning to apply separate application (Wife and two kids) using standard service,

Could you please suggest if this is legal to do it, Any body is having any experience on it.

Regards,
Pavan

Yes you can do this. Many have.

Note though that they must apply before their visas expire and if your ILR fails, their ILR will also fail. You also cannot add them to your SET(O) form, they will have to complete their own, wife as main applicant and children as dependents.

Hi Pavan,

I know this is not your question but may I ask that, are your kids born in the UK or outside the UK? If they are born in the UK then you do not need to apply for their ILR. Once you got your ILR approved you can apply for your kids Citizenship straightaway.

Best of luck for your ILR :)
