Hello Everyone,

My wife is having Tier 2 General Visa (main applicant) and I am on dependent visa. What if my wife goes on maternity leave (means she is off work), so how does it affect me as a working individual ?
* Am I eligible to work in UK if my wife is off work ?
* If my wife travels to India during maternity will I be able to work in UK ?
* Is she eligible to avail the maternity benefits of UK government while being in India ?

How long will she go for?? Your rights to be in the UK are wholly dependent on your spouse meeting the terms of her visa.

* Is she eligible to avail the maternity benefits of UK government while being in India ?

Unlikely as benefits are for those living in the UK. Suggest contact HMRC or DWP and ask them.
