Tier 2 ICT - Marrying an European

Post by joaolmp » Mon Nov 04, 2019 11:02 am

Greetings,

I am currently on my 3rd year of my 5yr Tier- 2 ICT Long term visa, expiring in Oct/2021.

I am marrying soon an European citizen and I was wondering:

1.will there be any implications to my visa?
2. Can I switch to another visa-type and remain in the UK while married with an European citizen?
3. is there any process I would need to do?

I have checked the rules in the country of origin of my partner already but i don't fully understand the rules in the UK given my current visa (not sure if the cooling period would still be applicable etc).

Thank

Cooling off applies ONLY to ICT to Tier 2 General. It does NOT apply to switching to any other visa category.
