Fixed deposit proof as Maintenance Funds?

Fixed deposit proof as Maintenance Funds?

Hi,

I am planning to apply for Tier 1 in October. I have recentlly got the required amount (nearly 3000 pounds)fixed deposit in a Bank. Can I use the Fixed deposit bond as the proof for Maintenance Funds?

Will that be accepted? Also, its an joint FD with my spouse, so in that case do I need to have her consent proof as well ??

Please guide.
