Renewing my French passport while processing British citizenship application

Hi,
I have recently submitted my application for British citizenship online (form AN - for EU nationals with permanent residence status). I have my appointment at UKVAS for biometrics in a few weeks.
In the meantime I now need to renew my French passport as it has less than 6 months left (and I will need to travel to a country with visa - which needs 6 months remaining on entry).
I have an appointment to apply for my new French passport 1 week before my UKVAS appointment. I will then get my new passport about 2 weeks after. So I will still have the passport I applied with for the UKVAS appointment, but not during the processing time. Is this a problem?
