ICT - Tier-2 : ILR Possibilities

Post by deepakmangalore » Tue Feb 11, 2020 1:02 pm

Hi,

I am on ICT - Tier2 VISA issued as on 20-October-2010. After the VISA issued, I could only land to UK as on 14-May-2012. Can you kindly advise, am I eligible for Switch VISA Type or apply ILR?

ICT issued after 6th April does not lead to ILR.

If you hold ICT long term staff, you could potentially renew your visa up to 9 years if you earn lore than £120k pa.

You would therefore have to find a visa you qualify for to try get to 10 years long residence.

Tier 2 general would require a cooling off period.

If the OP traveled to the UK on the same visa to what was issued in October 2010, he/she is eligible for unlimited extensions as his/her leave was granted prior to April 2011.
However, the OP would complete long residence ILR requirements only by May 2012

OP also may switch to Tier 2 General(new employer) within the UK
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.
