Post by gore » Mon Aug 18, 2008 12:39 pm

Hi All,

I m applying for HSMP Ext. under FLR Tier 1 (HSMP) 2+3
I have more then GBP 5K available in my bank acct from last 3 months but for my wife as dependent do I need to add her as join acct holder or only my bank statement is enough for both????

Thanks,

You do not need to add her into your account as joint account holder, your name alone is sufficient on bank account because you are primary.

Since you benefit from the HSMP JR, you are not required to show maintenance funds as prescribed under the Tier 1 policy - so forget about the instructions in appendix e of the immigration rules (as quoted by CoolestGuyC above) as they do not apply to you.

Coming back to your question - like rajesh9pl has suggested, no need to add your dependent's name to your account.
