Switching companies on a Sole Representative visa

I have been in the U.K on a sole representative visa for a U.S company since late 2017. Another company in the U.S has made me an offer to represent them in the UK under the sole representative visa and establish a U.K presence for their company (which has been in existence about 8 years in the U/S).

I realize that I am not able to switch employers under the Sole Representative category. If the company is willing to hire me in the U.S (on U.S payroll) and I meet all other requirements for the Sole Rep visa such as seniority, etc., can I leave the U.K and apply for a new U.K sole rep visa at the U.K consulate in Dublin or Paris?

If the above is not possible, are there other routes to establish a branch in the U.K without me having to leave?
