Swtich from workpermit to depandant of tier1

My wife is working on workpermit.I am planning to change to tier1 .
As she did not come to UK as my depandant .Now we are planning to swtich to TIER1 visa .In this case i will be main applicant and she will be my depandant.
Can she be applied as a depandant on my tier1 application.and can her visa be changed from workpermit to tier1 depandant.
It is bit urgent.Pls help

Just a thought - if she qualifies, why doesn't your wife also apply for Tier 1 as well?

Thanks a lot for the link. From this link ia m not able to make out, should I go ahead with her application as dependant or not.
She does not qualify for the tier1 .Thats why we were thinking to switch her on dependant.
is she eligible for switching from workpermit to dependant.

If shes in the uk on a work permit visa, she cannot switch to Tier1 dependent from within the UK. She can however return to her home country and apply for depenent visa/entry clearance from there.You can always send an e-mail to the ukba office with your query.
