Under police investigation for home violation while having a tier 2 extension application running

Post by a85 » Mon Jul 13, 2020 3:25 pm

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone could answer my query. I am really in shock.
I am the main applicant of a Tier 2 Visa (till September) and last month I Applied for an extension with my wife being as my dependent.

My wife has a long history of mental issues (recorded with GP), and last week she called police against me for home violation while there is absolutely no evidence (no bruise, no wound, no witness, no cctv, nothing!) except what she says.

I was arrested by the cops, and I was in custody for 24hrs, and then I was released with no charge but with two weeks bail as the cops needed to check my wife history with GP.

I was told by the duty solicitor that he expect nothing than ``No further Action (NFA)’’ as there is no evidence against me and she has long history of mental issues with GP. He said criminal activity is his specialist not the immigration.

I wanted to know does this have any effect on my Tier 2 extension application?
Thanks in advance for any reply.
