IT Professional - Process overview - Need Help!!

I would like to do the process on my own, but it seems kinda difficult... Could anybody here give me an overview of what to do or where I can find it?

I have a few questions:

1. What are the forms I have to fill up?
2. Where do I send this forms to?
3. What do I do after sending the papers?
4. How can I prove that I am able to continue my carreer in the UK? (I'm an IT professional). Job offers at newpaper adds??
5. Should I send anything stating where I will reside once in UK? What is necessary? Should I arrange a place before sending the application?

I'm not sure if I got things right, I think I'm supposed to get an approval from Home Office than apply for the visa at the local embassy, is that correct? What is needed to apply at the local embassy after the approval?

Hi,

The best thing would be to read the old threads in this forum ,get fair idea and then ask for further clarifications, if any. Because most of the questions u r asking is already covered in detail in the past. I am sorry , to be blunt..

go to the official HSMP site first, it has answers to most of your questions (forms, instructions, examples, etc.)
