Extended Sick leave

Post by fatimahj » Sat Jul 25, 2020 7:11 am

Hi,
I got my ilr november last year and my dependents got theirs earlier this year. I've had to go on extended sick leave due to sudden onset of nerve damage issues and limb numbness for past 4 months. It is likely that this will deteriorate and my current job will terminate due to long sick leave. I want to know how badly this impending unemployment will impact on any future citizenship application for myself and dependents. Can anyone advice please.

Regards and thanks

There is no mandatory employment requirment for citizenship.

There is also no "dependent" concept for citizenship. Each person applying must meet the requirements individually on their own
