Changing SOC with same employer

Post by CapeStorm » Tue Aug 18, 2020 11:27 am

Hi Guys/Girls,

I was wanting to know how does the Health Surcharge work if I get a promotion to a position that are covered under a different SOC code. My current Tier 2 General visa expires in Dec 2024. I do realise I have to apply for a new visa.

1. Do I have to pay the health surcharge again for the new application? I assume I have to pay as this is a new visa?

2. If so do I get a refund for the Health Surcharge paid under the old SOC code?

3. My wife which is in a Tier 2 dependant visa, valid till Dec 2024. Do I include her in the new application?

Looking forward to your replies.
