When the two wefare payments Tax Credits were invented a few years ago, Child Tax Credits and the 16 hours a week between them that their parents only had to work to get Working Tax Credits, was only intending for their children living in the UK. Following a court case brought by EU migrants, the UK was forced to provide this too if they had children in another EEA country. Your parents claiming Tax Credits will not prove you were in the UK.12345678 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 4:16 pmi have been told to provide proof of continuous residence (for ilr to brp ) since ive been in the country
the problem is i just turned 18 and its been difficult to gather documents 17 years ago
there are hmrc child tax documents but its sent in my mothers name although i am included in the document with my name and date of birth as a recipient of the child benefit
is that an accepted document or does it have to be sent in my name to my address
It is unclear whether you already have ILR and are merely transferring it to a BRP ro whether you are applying for ILR. If the latter, can you list your previous immigration history?

If your parent claimed Universal Credit (which replaces the short lived Tax Credits) that has many different rules and stricter work regulations for both parents, one of the condtions is that the child must be in the UK.
When did you get ILR? You will likely only have to prove continuous residence from the time you got ILR till now.12345678 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 12:42 pmi do have ilr and im trying to transfer to brp using this link https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence- ... e-visa-brp sry for the confusion

Congrats on your fast decision!
Just wondering how you were able to get a BRP appointment so fast. Ive made my application since August, fair enough Ive only paid for it today but I havent been able to get an appointment to enroll my BRP documents etc. How long did it take for you to get an appointment from the payment of your application?
thanks

The HO has contracted part of the process out. While the said contractors may have their own commission on the fees you paid, there is 'no harm' if they can make more off you by all means (or you keep checking till you get a free appointment which who knows when that will be..if any).KevT123 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 12, 2020 1:02 amHey again,
Great news! I've just received my invitation to book an appointment. I have some questions if youre able to answer them or give me some insight if thats ok mate. I was pretty shocked to see that theyre charging appointments, Its £110 for one but I was under the impression that once I had paid the initial £248.20 to transfer my ILR to BRP I was done paying anymore fees. Did you have to pay for an appointment?
furthermore, theyre also charging to have documents uploaded on your behalf or you can do it yourself if you'd rather not pay the service charge. I'd rather upload them myself. Do you know how you upload your own documents? Is a simple picture of your documents and upload of it sufficient or is there a particular way like digital scanning?
I really appreciate your help and a massive thanks in advance!
