BRP has not arrived after one month of decision letter

Hello,
I want to know if it has happened to anyone about this much delay in BRP.I applied for a Tier2 visa within UK and it got approved within 10 days but now its been more than 40 days and still my BRP has not arrived.
I reported after 10 days to BRP team and they said they are awaiting for verification of my NINO.My job is getting delayed due to unavailability of BRP and I am extremely disappointed :roll:
Should I contact DWP for my NINO?

Hi, I may be in the same situation. do you already have an exisiting NI number (NINO) or is this your first NINO
