Relationship Evidence

Post by Joshnoir » Thu Nov 26, 2020 1:45 am

Hi all

I am sure this is asked thousands of times I am sorry if my question is repetitive.

I am trying to find detailed guidance on genuine relationship evidence required for me and my fiance to get the ball rolling on a fiance visa and then spouse visa.

We have been together 2 years and have pretty much what I feel is the right evidence so far from reading across the Internet. It seems rather unbalanced on specifics though.

For successful members what was the best amount of whatsapp chat screenshots and call logs to provide?

If we both live in seperate countries how do we provide shared finances? Any cool ideas of things we could share a bill on in two seperate countries as we obviously can't share a tenancy agreement or utility bill yet?

I take a screenshot of us on webcam together each month and then 6 screenshots of a conversation per month too. We have been doing this a year since we decided to get married (right before covid too...get timing right? You should see the progression of my hair from short to long!)

We won't be applying until next fall when covid settles but would it still be advisable to get chats from the year before as well? Would it hinder us not having them and just 2 years worth since we started making plans?

I meet the financial requirements and my employer, landlord and family all are happy to write supportive letters. We have tons of photos but...you know when this all just leaves you paranoid? I'm sure you all felt/ feel the same.

If she doesn't have her flight tickets to here but all the emails and confirmations for flights (I still have my tickets) would that be ok for her?

Maybe there is a really good guide I am missing on the forum that I could be pointed to? All help appreciated.

Approach is to provide such evidence spread over the course of the relationship duration to throw light on how you maintained communication and subsistence of the relationship e.g. 1or 2 screenshot of chats per week or fortnightly or monthly.
If we both live in seperate countries how do we provide shared finances? Any cool ideas of things we could share a bill on in two seperate countries as we obviously can't share a tenancy agreement or utility bill yet? This is well understood as probably not being possible. However, you can show evidence of purchase of gifts for each other, evidence of remittances if you do send money to each other.

I'm sure you all felt/ feel the same. Their letters will not influence the decision, you can make them write what you want. Provide verifiable contemporaneous evidence to support your application.

If she doesn't have her flight tickets to here but all the emails and confirmations for flights (I still have my tickets) would that be ok for her? Yes, they will be OK.
