Referee made a mistake on the referee form (date)

Hi everyone,

I just applied for naturalisation and I realised I did not pay the right level of attention (very busy time at work lately) in checking the two referee forms. I discovered after I submitted the documents that one of my referees entered an incorrect date below his signature: he signed in mid Nov 20 but unfortunately he put Nov 2021 as the date (I bet a lot of us last year were wishing time passing as quickly as possible ).
I worte a mail to the Home Office to acknowledge the mistake and ask for guidance (they will reply in 20 working days max), but I am now preoccupied this could jeopardise the entire process.
Do you think there could be the possibiltiy to upload an additional form from the same referee (with correct date) using SopraSteria's portal?

No issues. Simply email them the new form with the correct date. Mention your UAN, Name, DOB, Nationality in the email.

I did not attend the biometric appointment yet. Followed your advice and wrote a mail to the Home Office to acknowledge them though.
In the meantime I sent a new form to my referee who kindly accepted to sign it when he will receive it by post. Once I receive it back signed, I will also upload a scan of it in the 'Other' document upload section of the SopraSteria portal with a note.
If I may, a couple of questions:
Which date should my referee put on this second form, the date used in the previous form (correct this time) or the current date when he will sign the form?
Should I also upload a note in the portal with screenshots of my correspondence with the Home Office?

You are overthinking. Just add a note, that you have uploaded the new referee form with the correct date. Referee should put the current date. ANY date is fine before biometrics appointment. Just upload the new form and cover letter before biometrics. No issues.
