New born baby dependants visa application

Hi,

I am a single mother to a British child but dad and I are not together.
I hold 2.5 years leave to remain as parent of British. I have a new baby for a different person (illegal immigrants). How can I apply for my baby leave to remain? Can baby dad apply for his status with new born baby visa when we receive it?

Please advise me
