Healthcare worker dependent extension

Post by jrod » Fri Feb 12, 2021 4:06 pm

Hi,

Can I have your thougths please? I have query on our PBS dependent extension.

Our Current visa are on government scheme free 1 year extension for health care worker which will expire on January 2022. My wife (NHS worker) will be eligible and will applying for ILR on July 2021 so our son (born outside UK) and myself will have to apply for PBS dependent extension as I am 5months short for ILR.

Visa type,
Wife:Tier 2 general
Mine:PBS dependant
Child:Dependant

1. When we apply for extension, will we still be under health care worker dependent which is cheaper and dont have to pay for IHS (wife will have ILR by then)?

2. Do we have to provide CoS of my wife to go to above route? Though CoS will expire in January 2022.

3. If not, how would be the cost for the extension?

Trying to work out the expenses this year and next year. Thanks in advance.
