Need clarification on Health & Care worker visa requirements

Post by guddutopper » Fri Feb 19, 2021 8:50 am

Hi,

I am currently on Student Visa Tier 4 and working for NHS in Physiotherapy
as a Therapy Assistant Practitioner on Band 4 since October 2020 to March 21,2021 until my current student visa expires.

I would be continuing the same job under same band, same salary from Mar 22, 2021 and I have been issued the certificate of sponsorship for the same. The corresponding occupation code is 2221

On Gov.uk under Heath and Care Worker visa section, it states:

"To qualify for a Health and Care Worker visa, you must:"
be a qualified doctor, nurse, health professional or adult social care professional

What does it mean when it asks to be a "qualified" health professional ? does it mean I need to have a Professional certificate or my university degree or work experience ?

I completed my Bachelors in Physiotherapy in India and did my M.Sc. in Sports health and science from Exeter University last year. so does this make me qualified or Do I need to have a HCPC License for Physiotherapist ? My current job does not require a HCPC License.

Please help me here
