When to apply for Tier2 extension

Hi

I have asked multiple times this question but haven't received a satisfied answer, I want to apply for Tier-2 extension my question before what time I should apply for extension ?

Somebody in the previous post told me that I CAN apply 60 days before what does can means ? and how much time before ? ForExample my visa is expiring in June can I apply today ? or when should I apply ?
