IHS fee for Dependant Visa doesn't match with main applicant's (expiry date issue)

Post by arashkm73 » Sun Mar 14, 2021 12:52 pm

Hi everyone,

I am applying for a Skilled Worker visa. I have completed my application. My CoS is for 3 years or less.
After completing all the required information, I see the IHS fee for my application is about 2692 USD. This is correct assuming 3 years each costing 624£.

Now for my Dependant application (my wife), after going through IHS payment it is asked to enter both the start work date and the end work date. After that, it is asked to enter the main applicant visa expiry date!
If I enter a date exactly 3 years after my start work date (which is my end work date), the IHS fee would be 3140 USD. Which clearly is 3.5 years for payment.

I have read all the guidelines about the Skilled Worker visa and I know both fees for me and my dependant should be the same (and for the exact 3 years).

I would be grateful if anyone helps me going through this.

- What should I enter on the visa expiry date?
- Should I change the start date from the 17th of May?

PS:
CoS Work Start Date: 17 May
