Change of Circumstances form when acquiring new citizenship

Post by Minh1337 » Sat Jun 26, 2021 2:49 pm

I currently have Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK, and I recently obtained Russian citizenship in addition to my existing Vietnamese citizenship - am I supposed to submit a Change of Circumstances form?

According to https://www.gov.uk/change-circumstances-visa-brp
You must apply for a new BRP straight away if any of these things change:
  • nationality
However, I still have my existing nationality, so I’m not sure if I have to report anything? I do, however, intend to report my second nationality when applying for UK citizenship later this year.

No. People with ILR do not need to report anything. That is for people with limited leave to remain or visas
