Husband suddenly ill

Post by Exquisit33 » Sat Jun 26, 2021 10:32 pm

So my husband has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer and will begin Chemotherapy in 2 weeks.

The cancer is incurable and my husband is on sick leave from work.. He won't be able to work for a long time.

My husband's parents live in Pakistan and he wishes to see them. He is unable to travel back home (he initially was intending to visit but suddenly fell really unwell).

Is there a way we can get his mum and dad both over 60 to visit him for a few weeks? He really misses them and is feeling depressed due to the sudden shock of his illness and also missing them.

Please could you provide me with some guidance on what visa is required for them to visit and what paperwork I would need. Who will be the sponsor? Furthermore would they allow his brother aged 24 to join the parents to come and visit my husband?
Allah is the greatest!

If they are just visiting, a visit visa would be the most obvious choice.

They would need to meet the standard requirements for a visit visa, such as a strong connection to their country of habitual residence, etc.

The 24 year old brother can also apply for a visit visa with the same or similar types of proof. Being employed and having family (spouse, children etc) to return to may improve his chances of getting a visit visa.

Not sure when their visit visa will be approved though. It seems that visit visa applications from the Sub-continent are on hold while those countries are on the red list.
