Tier 2 visa extension; arrested and charged but acquitted

Dear all,

I was arrested and charged with drunk driving last year but I was finally acquitted in court. So I have no criminal record but arrested history.
Now I am going to extend my tier 2 application, I would like to ask you two questions;

1) Is there any possibility that my extension will be rejected? (This was the first time in my life to be arrested and no criminal record on the earth)

2) Should I mention about these events in the form? (I was arrested and charged but acquitted)

I would much appreciate it if you could reply to this question.

For point 1, I don' think anyone can answer that aside from HO. They may not even see that as a problem but I guess the answer for point 2 should be a YES. Don't try to hide anything and instead of them finding it out themselves, try to mention and that also focus on the fact that you were acquitted and have no criminal record of any sort.
