10 year partner route 2.5 yrs FLR Extension

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help, my wife’s 2.5 year 10 year route is coming to an end, and we will require to submit a new application for an extension, we are not sure of what paper work she will require, and if she should undertake the English language test during this application?
She was allowed stay in the uk after the courts tribunal allowed her case under human rights and she was granted her visa under the 10 year route.
So firstly does she need a English language test certificate with this application, and also when do we need to submit the application? Her visa runs out on 9th Oct 2021.
