Witnesses for FBR

Post by Icarus16 » Sun Oct 31, 2021 5:40 pm

Hi

I put my application in for FBR (based on Irish Grandfather) some months ago and received an acknowledgement.

I’ve run through the list of eligible witnesses and cannot find any who personally know me. Some who might have been eligible have passed away. I’m now retired and so cannot even find work colleagues. There are some who know me where I now live but all cannot or are prevented from doing so (doctor dentist pharmacist for example). Help!

Is there anything I can legally do to get the form and photos witnesses? I do have plenty of time it seems thanks to Covid delays. A solicitor or similar perhaps - none personally known to me. I qualified at the Bar years ago but all the above still applies

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Gordon
