Spouse visa questions

Post by zarina » Tue Dec 07, 2021 12:08 am

Hi all,
I have been searching and getting information together for a while now for my niece who will be applying on behalf of her husband for his spouse visa, he is jn pakistan. I was in the same place many years ago and these forums helped alot! Greatly appreciated.

Had a few queries with regards to the financial requirements. My niece works in a well known retail store, hourly rate of £9.50 on a permanent part time contract (30hrs being reduced to 20 hrs from Feb as the company is trying to cut costs), however she works 30-37.5 hrs a week so does alot overtime. She will be using 6month payslips to apply under Category A. We used the non salaried method of adding 6 months slips of gross pay ÷6 ×12 and got a yearly average of £17,159. She also has cash savings of £19,663 that has been in the bank for over 6 months so £19,663 -16k ÷2.5 leaves her with a top up of £1465.20 taking her annual pay to £18,625.20.

Now the first payslip will be 4 September 2021 therefore last payslip should show 4 March 2022, meaning she will submit end of March slip which will add up to 7months payslips. So how will they work out the average yearly income? Incase it is different than what we did...As you can see she is just about going to meet requirements...we have speculated slips from Jan to March giving the least she should receive so hopefully she will receive more pumping that amount up a few hundred.

Secondly, if her husband- the applicant shows his bank statements can that be added to her savings and hence gross income as we have already subtracted the 16k?

Finally, is this the correct process of what happens- no solicitor is involved by the way:

She will apply online from the UK and save her application.
She then takes the supporting docs to ukvfs in Birmingham to scan and upload to Sheffield.
He submits his docs and biometrics to a vac in mirpur pakistan

Sorry but I could not find clear guidance as to how the application itself is carried out

Thank you once again for any replies.

Regards
Zarina
