Documentation for ILR BRP Renewal

Post by Penfold9298 » Sat Jan 15, 2022 10:54 pm

I'm in the process of renewing my ILR Biometric Residence Permit, as it's about to expire.

Has anyone else renewed their BRP? What documentation is required? I'm confused on how to prove residency - I've been here for 12 years, and unfortunately I don't have council tax bills or utility bills for 2012-2017, as they were kept by my ex-husband. Are letters from my employers good enough?

Thanks in advance.

The online system will tell you what to send. You need to send evidence that you stayed in the UK and were not absent for two years.

I get that, I read the list. But the documentation list contains quite a few 'example documents', and I wanted to know what other people used and what was best, especially as I don't have council tax bills, etc. Either way, I've decided to go a different route. Thanks.
