[Spouse Visa] Is IHS Surcharge (£1900.apprx) actually accurate in PKR to GBP?

This is the second time I have created the application for my wife (resides in Pakistan):

- First time: came to £3000. Something was definitely off.
- Second time: 460448.80 (PKR) = 1,943.94 (Pound)

I am applying for my wife, do I have to pay in PKR instead of GBP?

Second time, I didn't select anything on "are you joining partner in UK" as last time it came double.

Is there a fee hike or its high because I am technically applying from outside the UK?

I would rather not start again, however I know it can be a pain to get a refund later as well.

What am I potentially missing in IHS surcharge setting?

The first visa is 2y9m so you pay IHS for 3y. That's £1872. UKVI uses a rubbish exchange rate and there is no way to pay in GBP if applying overseas.

Hi. That is correct it’s the exchange rate and changes all the time , and never in the person who is paying I did online yesterday and paid £2016 for IHS charges , I was shocked and also that is on top of fees that came up £1675 , it’s an absolute joke !! , just pay it ,it’s going up every day
