Travelling to UK after COS Start date

Dear Friends,
My vignette is valid until July 30th and my Cos start date is May 2nd, but i will be travelling to UK after a week(May 9th), will there be any issue if I come to UK after my Cos start date, do I need any approval letter from my employer to show in the border control?

It should not give any hassle at PoE, work start date can vary from that on COS. For peace of mind if you have such arrangement with your employer, get a letter and have it at hand.
