Spouse Visa - EU Common Travel Area

Post by 3crown » Tue Nov 18, 2008 12:15 pm

Hello. Hub on 2 Yr Spouse Visa. Am I assuming correctly that he can travel freely within the EU common travel areas of Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Scilly Isles, Eire?

The common travel area is nothing to do with the EU. It is the UK, Channel Islands and the Irish Reoublic. The latter may still require you to obtain a visa.

Your husband will definitely need a visa to enter Ireland, if his country is not on this list.
