Skilled Worker Visa (Change employee inside UK, UKVCAS)

Hi,

I made an appointment for a skilled worker visa (change of another employee) at the UKVCAS London Centre on the 13th of June. Also, I used the standard appointment service. My CoS start date is June 15th and it seems to be missing the date. (I know the Ukrainian immigration impacted the all UK visa delayed)

- How soon can I expect to receive approval?
- Can I start working while the new skilled worker visa is being processed? (I hold an old skilled worker visa until 2024, however, I change my job to another company)

Any advice would be very helpful to me.

If you applied online using standard service, then it can take up to 8 weeks, sometimes longer. The ukcvas appointment is only to do biometrics and has nothing to do with how long you will wait for ukvi to process your application.

No, you cannot start working for your new employer until you receive your new visa.

It was really clear for me to understand the difference between UKVI and UKVCAS.

I am using UKVI's priority service and UKVCAS' standard appointment. (It may wait for the process for 5-working days after appointment in UKVCAS)
