Do I need financial documents?

Post by rshelar » Tue Jul 05, 2022 10:09 pm

If I am inviting someone on a visitor visa but if they are saying they will bear all expenses for travel with me only offering accomodation and food - Do I still need to provide any financial documents like bank statement and payslip?

If yes, how many months? is a latest one sufficient?

I know if we invite parents and say I will bear full expenses then usually 6 months worth documents are needed - but I am not sure what is needed when the person applying is showing their financial documents and claiming to bear most of the expenses.

Thanks

You don't have to provide account/financial details. You just have to say in your invite that you would be responsible for their accommodation and general upkeep.

The onus is on the visitor to show that they can afford the trip and expenses therein.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
