ILR eligibility nearing & depenedent visa impact

Post by honestguy2020 » Tue Aug 30, 2022 8:32 pm

Hi Folks,

Greetings!

I came to the UK on 21st Dec 2017 on Tier 2 general visa (Now called Skilled worker visa)

I worked with the first employer until Jan 2020.
I had offer from another employer due to which I had resigmed and they retracted the offer.

I was offered sponsorship by another employer and I started in June 2020 due to the above employer retracting the offer.
This meant 4 odd months gap in employment.

Questions -
1. Does this impact my ILR eligibility?
2. When would I be eligible for ILR, would this be end of November (28 days before arriving in the UK)
3. My partner has been on my dependent visa since 20 June 2021 and their visa/brp validity is 20th June 2023. If I get ILR in December would they need to switch to spouse visa immediately or they can stay on the older dependent visa until June 2023?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards
