Query regarding work start date

Hi,

I have recently applied for UK skilled worker visa. The start date in my CoS is Nov 7 as mentioned by my prospective employer. I am expecting to receive my approved visa by Nov 15 as per current processing timelines.

I read about a 28 days rule where in one has to start work within 28 days of CoS work start date or date of receiving visa whichever is the latest. Considering the notice period at my present organisation and other preparation before I move to UK, I will not be able to join within 28 days.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any input if 28 days is calculated from date of receiving visa or the date of entry to UK? Highly appreciate any inputs here considering this will be a big issue for me.

I also checked with my employer to update the cos work start date by adding a sponsor note but he is saying that he is not able to do that now in the system.

My start date was 1th Sep. And I still await my decision and visa.
My employer added a note to my sponsorship on 27th Sep. which they still want to employ me.
The date in your sponsorship is important
