Temporary work spouse Visa

Post by Imransyed295 » Wed May 18, 2022 7:02 am

I am working as a temporary security guard earning £462 a week before tax is this enough for me to apply for spouse Visa? Also do I need to work a minimum amount per week also?

You need a minimum of 6 months employment, payslips and bank statements and must earn a minimum of £18,600 per annum to sponsor a spouse.

The type of work or contract is irrelevant. However if you are weekly paid and the amount varies every week, ukvi usually take the lowest amount to work out the financial requirement.

Your income is what matters. No one cares if you work for 30 mins a day or 24 hours a day.

Family reunion visa

Post by Imransyed295 » Fri Aug 26, 2022 9:01 pm

My 3 children have now received their British passports and I am British born.
Can I apply for family reunion Visa instead of spouse Visa for my wife.

The only option for your spouse is a spouse visa.

Family Reunion visas are for family members of people who have been granted refugee status or humanitarian protection in the UK.

They are not for family members of British citizens. If you are British born, your family is not eligible to apply for these visas.
Family Reunion guidance wrote:Definition of an eligible sponsor for family reunion

Paragraphs 352A-FJ of the Immigration Rules define a sponsor as a person who is lawfully resident in the UK, has not yet obtained British citizenship, and falls into one (or more) of the following categories:
  • currently has refugee status
  • currently has humanitarian protection status
  • was admitted under the Gateway Protection Programme
  • was admitted under the Mandate Refugee Programme
  • was admitted under the Syrian Vulnerable Person Resettlement (VPR) scheme

No. She cannot switch to a spouse visa within the UK while here on a visitor visa.

She must apply for the spouse visa before travelling to the UK.

There is no quick or cheap route for your spouse, which you seem intent on trying to find.
