How many documents for 4 years outside UK ILR application

Post by netrader » Fri Dec 12, 2008 5:34 pm

Hello everyone
I have been living with my partner for 26 years outside the Uk. We are not married by law but as common law , as such the visa was granted to settle with unmarried partner.
We have 2 children aged 11 and 9 , both of them have =British passports and my partner is British. If i can apply would i have to prove cohabitation all over again and if so how many documents for each of the 4 years would i have to submit? I had a whole lot of documents spread over a long time but not for every single month. Would they want 20 documents over the last 4 years or 40 or 100? They dont specify at all on the home office web site.
Also when i applied in south africa the embassy there said i would not have to prove cohabitation again as i had already done so in south africa and that the kol test pass was all i would need. I am confused about this as well. Please inform me if you can.
kind regards netrader
